Soooo… many… links… (brain-freeze).

This is totally my song of today. I threw it onto my coworker’s USB key for her to listen to during her spinning (aka stationary bike) class, and it apparently made her night. Which made my day.

Sharing music feels way better than I ever expected. There’s a reason why people love DJing: you get paid to play and share your music taste with an entire room full of people. What can be better?

But why does sharing music feel so good? For one, when people like what you show them, it validates your tastes. It makes you feel like you’re an expert in what “good” music really is. That’s obvious.

Hmm… I know there’s something else in what I’m feeling now, but I can’t really put my finger on it.

One thing’s for sure: it’s why this blog, and other music blogs, exist. And it’s why Blip.fm and Last.fm work!
