Okay, so let’s try this again. The internet’s been crapping out on me all day, but that doesn’t matter. Not when you’re listening to positive-hardcore rap and drinking some cherry limeade.
Anyway, the concept of this blog is to share a new amazing track you’d better be listening to every day. And to write stream-of-consciousness style as I listen to the track before it posts.
And dammit, this blog is gonna rock you.
I really don’t know what I have in store for this yet, but I listen to a lot of music. I wrote earlier about what this band means to me, but I think I’ll save that until I post another awesome track of theirs, Jam Band Death Cult. So instead I’ll tell you why I started listening to them again lately:
I won a dinner with Heartsrevolution (I like to think it’s because I was super-polite), and we just spent the whole time hanging out, eating and chatting about music. And drinking margaritas/whisky/martinis. Anyway, I mentioned that, given their sound, they’d probably like these guys. Because they’re just… intense, emotional, and put on one of the best live shows I’ve ever seen.
Seriously, the dude ran out topless into a cold Montreal street in January with the microphone, dragging innocent sidewalk-walkers into the venue.
